"Since partnering with Dublin's newest and greenest public transport option back in 2007, the Pepsico brand '7UP Free' has become intrinsically linked with the environmental service with over 90% of the public who were aware of the service immediately associating it with the soft drink brand.

In 2009, after two year's of growing partnership, Pepsico took on the role as headline sponsor for the service, operating 7 Ecocabs for the entire 9 month season. As a result, over 65,000 passengers were treated to free, environmentally friendly and emission free jaunts across and around the city centre compliments of 7UP free. Not only did this offer the brand consumer engagement and a positive brand experience but also showed the brand to making a very positive contribution to the local environment.

As the service becomes a more known and loved part of Dublin city's landscape (the service has been nominated for not one but two Green Awards for 2010), the service's popularity continues to grow. The goal for the Pepsico brand over the 2010 season is 77,000 passengers which equates to a potential saving of nearly 17 tonnes of co2 emissions, helping make Dublin city a cleaner and greener city to be in!"
